General
What age groups do you offer classes for?
We offer classes for dancers as young as 3 years old through teen and adult levels. Our programs are tailored by age and skill level to ensure that every dancer feels challenged, supported, and inspired.
What styles of dance do you teach?
Our studio offers a wide range of styles including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, and musical theatre. Each class is taught by experienced instructors who specialize in their style and create a fun, structured learning environment.
How do I register for classes?
To get started, simply fill out our Pre-Registration Form on the website. This helps us learn more about your dancer and recommend the best class options. Once we review your submission, we’ll follow up with class recommendations and provide you with the final registration form to complete enrollment. Our team is here to guide you through every step!
Does my child have to take ballet?
Yes — ballet is a required class for all dancers.
There are no exceptions to this policy. Ballet provides the essential technique, alignment, and discipline that form the foundation of all dance styles. To excel in genres like jazz, lyrical, contemporary, or even hip hop, students must continue their ballet training alongside their other classes.
When can I start pointe?
Students may be considered for pointe work after completing at least three or more consecutive years of consistent ballet training, are at least 12–13 years old, and have received approval from Ms. Carol. Pointe is a highly technical discipline that requires strength, alignment, and maturity — our top priority is student safety and long-term success.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer a sibling discount for families with more than one dancer enrolled.
Attire & Class Info
What should my child wear to class?
Each dance style has specific attire guidelines to ensure comfort, safety, and proper technique.
- Ballet/Tap: Blue leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, and hair in a bun.
- Pointe: Same as ballet, but with a black leotard instead of blue.
- Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Musical Theatre: Comfortable dancewear and appropriate shoes or socks.
- Tap: Comfortable dancewear and tap shoes.
Do I need to purchase dance shoes?
Yes. Proper footwear is required for all dance classes to support safety and technique. If you’re unsure what to buy, we’re happy to give recommendations and let you know where to purchase shoes locally or online.
Can parents watch classes?
To help students stay focused and confident, we have a closed-classroom policy. However, we do offer an Open House near the end of the first semester, where families are invited to observe and celebrate progress!
How long are the classes?
Class lengths vary depending on age and level. Most classes run between 30 to 60 minutes. Combination classes for younger students may be slightly longer to allow time for multiple dance styles in one session.
Recital & Schedule
Do students perform in a recital?
Yes! We host an annual end-of-season recital where all dancers have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned. It’s a fun, memorable event that celebrates the hard work and growth of each student.
When are your recitals held?
Our main recital typically takes place in early summer in June. Exact dates and details are shared well in advance so families can plan ahead. We also hold a mandatory dress rehearsal the day leading up to the show to ensure dancers feel confident on stage.
Do you close for holidays or breaks?
Yes. We follow a studio calendar that includes closures for major holidays and school breaks (such as Thanksgiving, winter break, and spring break). Our full calendar is available on our website.
What is your inclement weather policy?
In the event of inclement weather, we will notify families by email after 2:00 PM with any updates about evening classes. We also recommend checking our social media pages for the latest announcements. Safety is our top priority, and we do our best to make decisions promptly while considering road conditions and forecasts.
